Sustainability
AUTEC believes in a more sustainable world, in which more and more products can be efficiently recovered and reused, with the utmost respect for the planet upon which we live. Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) contains toxic and non-biodegradable substances which can lead to environmental risks if not properly disposed of at the end of their life cycle. In addition, promoting the effective recycling of electronic equipment enables metals and other precious materials to be reintroduced into the market, as part of an environmentally-sustainable circular economy.
For this reason, AUTEC complies fully with the objectives of the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (the WEEE Directive): all radio control devices produced from 15/08/2018 onwards are marked with a special symbol, which can be seen in the image on the right. This symbol is designed to inform the buyer that the electromechanical and electronic parts and the battery of AUTEC radio control devices should not be disposed of as general waste, but should instead be handled separately by specialist treatment facilities approved for the safe disposal or recycling of these components.
